It's very easy to create new screensavers for KISS60 or adapt already existing Flash Lite content to be a good KISS60 screensaver. To provide the best possible user experience, there are simple guidelines; A KISS60 screensaver displays well on all resolutions
A KISS60 screensaver quits on any key press
A good KISS60 screensaver does not consume too much phone battery and system resource
Also it's also good to mention that, KISS60 screensaver is better Flash Lite 1.1 or older, to ensure it reaches to widest audience possible.
Creating a KISS60 screensaver from scratchIt's very simple to create KISS60 screensaver from scratch. 1 Download KISS60 screensaver template 2 Open the template with Flash 8 or CS3
3 Locate and get into the "Container" MovieClip from the library
4 Create your MovieClip on "Add your content here" layer and get into your MovieClip
5 Rest is your creativity. Crete your art there.
6 Modify the background rectangle on "Background" layer, to fit screensaver's design. Background will be visible on screens other than 240x320.
7 Optionally, if you want your screensaver to be tagged as "Battery Friendly" on KISS60 gallery, it ideally should animate 5-10 seconds and then stop the animation. If your content is simple and doesn't contain nested animations, just name your MovieClip "my_is", and template will do the rest. If you have complicated structure of MovieClips, you should create your own strategy. 8 Test, test, test. If you don't have too many devices, head to Kuneri Forum , we will test it for you. 9 Create a thumbnail of your choice. (See "Creating screensaver thumbnails" section)
We will always test your screensaver before publishing. Therefore it's a good practice to showcase your screensaver on Kuneri Forum, before submitting. It's also very good idea to use the forum, due there are many other developers ready to help you when you have any quesitons or problems. 3 Rescale the stage according to your existing content (if it's not 240x320). But keep your stage width always 240x320! Otherwise your screensaver will not display well on preview.

Creating screensaver thumbnailsAll KISS60 screensavers should have a static (no animation) thumbnail. Thumbnail will be visible on "My screensavers" menu of KISS60. To submit any screensaver, you will need to create a thumbnail. 1 Download KISS60 screensaver thumbnail template
2 Prepare the thumbnail on "Content" layer
3 Publish your movie
4 Name your thumbnail with the name of the scrensaver and "_t" suffix. So if your screensaver is "MyScreensaver.swf", your thumbnail should be "MyScreensaver_t.swf". My screensaver is ready, what now? If you are sure that your screensaver is ready to go, just send it to us filling our Screensaver submission form. In future, we will enable you to manage your screensaver yourself. What's in it for me?
